Join Us And Raffle Winner Alex Krogh-Grabbe At Amherst Cinema For Tonight's Steve Jobs Screening!

We hope to see you at Amherst Cinema's screening of Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview at 7pm tonight! You can buy tickets here, or at the door. We asked our raffle winner Alex Krogh-Grabbe a couple of questions.

What do you do in the area?

"I work as the Executive Director of the Amherst Business Improvement District (BID). The Amherst BID is an organization designed to provide collective services to downtown in the form of marketing, beautification, special events, economic development, and transportation solutions. It's really about placemaking: making little tweaks to downtown Amherst so that an already amazing town becomes a special destination for people locally and across the region. The goal is to make downtown a fun and lively place. For more information, there was a story in the Bulletin about my hiring last month."

What do you think of Steve Jobs? (Be honest!)

"Steve Jobs was obviously a wonderful businessman, and had a powerful vision for Apple inspired by his passion for good design. I've also heard he was a real pain to work with, and the sort of success he achieved is difficult to get without stomping on morality in some ways (e.g. fair labor practices, environmental harm of addictive electronic consumption). I'm not actually a Mac person myself (I've used Ubuntu for several years and am about to switch back to the evil Microsoft world for the software compatibility) but as a design-oriented computer geek working in the business world, I appreciate all that Jobs gave the world. Also, that Stanford commencement address was awesome."

Congrats Alex! Here's the trailer for the film:
