What is a left-click?
The Standard Computer Workstation has a few required components. At a minimum, these include the computer itself, a display, a keyboard, and a mouse. These last two, the keyboard and the mouse, are the basic tools that a allow a computer user the ability to input information into an computer for processing. These are often referred to as input devices.
While the keyboard can be a major workhorse when it comes to entering textual data, it can be quite challenging for new users to learn how control their computers with this device as it requires of knowledge programming commands. The mouse, however, allows interaction with a visual interface. Using a mouse, one can execute computer commands by pointing and clicking. Almost all computer interfaces are designed with the mouse in mind.
The most important button on the mouse is most commonly referred to as the "left-click." While the other auxillary buttons provide very useful functions, the left-click provides the user the ability to select what they want and execute their desired actions.
